Kowhaiwhai Art

Today I did the Kowhaiwhai art task for the summer learning journey.

Before starting the task, I watched a video to get a understanding on what to do.

I made all of my Kowhaiwhai's huge to represent a big wave.

Lastly I made the background half blue, half yellow to represent summer.

Thank you for sharing your awesome kowhaiwhai pattern!

You have used some great bold colours here that makes your artwork stand out on your blog - well done! I really like that you’ve used a gradient to make them all blend together too. It definitely reminds me of summer!

I really enjoy how big your waves are, because they look like they’re reaching up towards the sky. Have you been swimming in some big waves before? My favourite part about swimming at the beach is choosing whether to go under or over a big wave - I usually go under because it’s hard to make it to the top of the wave in time!

Well done and I look forward to seeing your future blog posts Siale!
