Identify direct and reported speech
What is direct and reported speech?
Direct speech is a sentence that uses the exact words that someone has said and it also contains quotation marks ("").
Reported speech is telling somebody what another has said.
If someone understands the difference between direct and reported speech they would know if someone is talking to another or if someone is telling what someone else has said.

WW1
For reading I made poster about WW1. In the poster contains who was in the war, when did WW1 start and where WW1 took place. In the poster those 3 w's are answered.
Why did WW1 start ?
The reason of why WW1 started because the death of Austria's Franz Ferdinand. He was assassinated by Serbian group called the blackhand who wore allies to Russia at the time. Then Austria replied by declaring war on Serbia which started the first world war.
Which countries wore involved in the first world war?
The countries that fought in the WW1 were Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria and the Ottoman empire. As a group they were called the central powers. Then there was group of countries called the allies which were Serbia, Russia, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Belgium and the United States.

Survival kit and WW1 Events
For reading I did a survival kit which contain items which could be used physically, mentally, socially and spiritually. I also created a Google Doc which contains events that happened during WW1 such as shell shock. I also written what effect it did on the soldiers.

To describe a Anzac Soldier
For reading I used adjectives which describes a soldier. I used words such as brave, Strong, Heroic because what they did to protect and serve our country. Then I created a word art which was fill with many words that I used to describe a soldier. Then I created a poster with my word art and 4 pictures of soldiers as a tribute to them.
