LI: To learn about water safety
For swimming we practised our skills that we have been doing for the past 6 weeks.Before we did a skill we did submerging we we had to sing the song "round and round the rose" and when it says down we had to submerge under the water.The first skill that we did for this session was called starfish float.A starfish float just like floating on your back but in a star shaped.The next skill that Susan's group (i'm in) was floating on your back using a noodle.Floating on your back using a noodle is basically when you wrap a noodle around your back and float on your back across to the other side.
Then we did this skill called doggy paddle. To do this you had to put your head up, put you hand under the water and paddle while you legs are kicking. After that we did another skill called dolphin dive. A dolphin dive is when you jump and dive down to the water jump out of the water and jump and dive over and over again. Lastly floating on our back . We had to put our feet under the this pole and we had to float on our aback to the other side.
