LI. To use keywords for better searching

For cyber smart we learnt how to smart search by using keywords.
For our topic we had to Netball. We had to search different websites
To find information that answers these questions.
What do the positions do?How many positions are they and what is the
highest win percentage team?
After finding the information that is right we had to explain it.
We used a google presentation to write this.

Reading

LI. To identify the main idea

For reading we learnt about  what main idea means.
What does Main idea mean? it means sentences that talk about the same topic.
We learnt what main ideas by doing a task called Not like others . We had to find and highlight the the wrong idea. Sometimes there are sentences that don't talk about the main idea
(Like the words which were wrong I highlighted).

Basic Facts

LI:To remember your basic facts

For basic facts I did Multiplication for the speed demon challenge.My time was 4:31, which was alright. I need to focus more and don't muck around. My goal as at least a minute and 30 seconds.

SSR Selifie

LI: To explain your book

For SSR Selfie I explained a book called Ready, Set Play! The book is about gaming characters and their personality. Characters like Sonic,Mario,Bowser  who were also in the book.
This was a cool bizarre book.

How to Persuade

LI: To explain how to persuade

For writing we had learnt about the word persuade. What's the meaning of persuade?
(Proving to someone that you are correct).We persuade by watching a video on YouTube by the kid president. He was talking about how to disagree with people (which is persuade). There are also steps that help to be able to disagree (Persuade).

Then we had to make a poster of how to persuade.We had to explain information that can help you when you feel like in a time to persuade. We also had to make our own characters to show that what Persuasion looks like. We used a Google Drawing document to make this poster.

Maths| Basic addition facts up to 20

LI. To earn and save money by creating with maths

For the Term we are working as a employee to be able to earn as much money as possible for company (which is our group). We can earn money for finishing tasks from level 1 to level 4
 difficulty.We also have our own bank account. I have $74 dollars in my bank account. This week I did a task that is level 1 difficulty, Basic addition facts up to 20.

Swimming and water safety

LI: To learn water safety skills

Our first lesson for water safety was used to get into groups and show the instructors our swimming ability. I was put into Susan. In Susan group, we practised using swim boards and submerging our face in the water.

Duffy theatre

LI. To watch Duffy show

The Duffy theatre cam to PBS to perform a play and it was fun, funny and entertaining.
by he way it's Duffy's 25th and he is still reading them good all books.

he characters were: Duffy, Sam(Duffy's cousin),Sam's Mum,  Dismantler (in the game), Puzzler (in the game).  

Sam is the cousin of Duffy and Sam Mum is Duffy Aunt.
The Puzzler mixes up the words you try to make and the Dismantler breaks materials like bricks and woods. The story is about Duffy getting stuck in the game called magic bricks and his cousin Sam is trying to get him out. He got trapped by wearing these magical glasses and doing this dance that makes you get trapped in the game.
Sam tries her best to save Duffy but she can't. Then she got herself trapped by weari ng the magical glasses.They found a dance in their nana's book and were able to get out of the game. Sam and Duffy just realised that their nana is the creater of the game magic bricks.

Activity: We were split into a group of 3. To learn about different emotions people have we did a activity called silent Emotion Disco. 1 person had to where headphones and listen to the music that's playing while our Kiwi Can teacher Mrs Mac given us a emotion to dance with. The person with the headphones had to guess what emotion that we were dancing too.

  

Main Idea/ Reading

LI: To Categorise words into groups

You are probably thinking what does the word Categorise mean?
Categories are groups of similar things. The title of these groups
is the main idea.
We used Google Drawing to able to do this task.
This was a task that had to be done individually. 

   

Constellation

LI. To use skimming,scanning and summarising

We had to skim and scan a constellation from the Greek mythology. 
I chose to do Aries constellation, but I did this individually.
Aries brightest star is Hamal. The names of the stars is called Alpha Orionis. Some stars are visible to the naked eye. The naked eye is unassisted vision without a telescope.  

Basic Facts

LI. To remember basic facts and multiplication

I did multiplication for basic facts boxes and I took the speed demon challenge and it only took me 3:45 seconds to finish it. I think I need to work faster and don't muck around that much. Well through out the weeks I think I have improved.

Inquiry/Earth and Beyond/Planet Jigsaw,English and Samoa/ WIP

Earth and Beyond L.I To activate our prior knowledge.

Planet Jigsaw -L.I To find,Select and Record word facts then share and discus collaboratively to build a complete the task planet jigsaw.

This Term for Inquiry we had to blog all of the task we have be doing from the past few weeks.

The past few weeks we did Earth and Beyond/Planet Jigsaw,English and Samoa/ .

Earth and Beyond 

For Earth and Beyond we had to use our knowledge and answer the question. The questions were about space and our solar System. We had to go on Auto Draw and we had to draw the planets in our solar system.

Planet Jigsaw
For Planet Jigsaw we had to find the answer for the questions this was a competition to get a treat from Mrs Anderson. I really like this task because I get to write interesting facts about the planets and find new facts that we have not learned before.

English and Samoa
We had to write interesting information about the planets and we had to write planets in Samoa  it as example sun and in Samoa is is Le La but we did not finish yet we had to do WIP (working in progress)

Hiit

LI. To get your heart rate up
for HIIT we did there actives which were 3 exercises. HIIT stands for High-intensity interval training .

The exercises we did were:

• Pull ups 
• Push-up
• Mountain climbers
• Bring sally/squat challenge

How to do a Pull up

So first you need a stick or a bar to pull your self off the ground.

This is a exercise that works on your biceps. There is 2 ways to

do a pull up. First you have to put your legs flat on the floor and

pull yourself up. The second method is you have to put your legs

shaped like a raped and you also pull yourself up .

How to do a Push up

First you put your hands flat on the ground but your arms straight

and your 2 legs of the ground straight and your toes hold your

legs balance.  There is another method you can also do, so first 

put your feet up in the air and push up and down.

How to do Mountain climbers

First you get yourself into a push up possession and try make

your knees touch your elbow. There is another way to do it,

So you have to stand put your arms in a push up possession again 

but your leaning on object and you act like your are running on

the spot.

Bring sally up/squat challenge

We played a song called bring sally up and we did a squat pulse 

challenge while the son was playing. So when the singer sings up

 we have to go up and if the sing sings down we had to do a squat

 but we have to stay in that possession until the next word he says.

Writing|Finish Play Narrative/Dialogue

LI. To write a play in a form of a narrative
For our final week we had to finish our the dialogue that will appear in the play.
When we are finish Mr Wong's reading groups will be able to perform in front of us.
What is a dialogue?( It is a situation between 2 or 3 people.)
This is a dialogue about a group of friends and 1 of the friends name Lucie gets who jewellery stolen by a leprechaun.

SSR Selfie

LI: To retell and summarise your book

This was final SSR Selfie slide that we did for the final term.
I read this book called Peace Force, It's about a kid who has a hard journey trying to save the word.
 Suddenly a vibration hit earth and cause the gravity to go low.
Who tried to worn others but it was to late because most of flew of into the solar system.
