Maths word problems

  1. I had 45 apples and I shared them with 5 people.
  2. How many did each person get?  455=9
  3. I had 16 lollies and I gave 7 to
  4. Zeppelin.
  5. How many do I have left?
                     16-7=9
  1. I had 15 presents and I bought 5more     
How many do I have altogether?
                  15+5=20
f)Alisha has 2 cats and Sulia took 1 away.
How many does Alisha have now?
                      2-1=1
  1. Hinemoa has 6 cats and Lorenzo has 7 dogs .
  2. How many animals do they have altogether?
                      6+7=13
  1. Texas had 20 apples and he shared them with Oscar. How many did each boy get?    202=10
  2. I had 30 lollies and I shared them with  Kruse and Leroy.
  3. How many we each get?           302=15
  4. Kruse had 16 lollies
  5. and Leon stole 7. How many
  6. lollies does Kruse have left.
                        16-7=9

  3. How many children were there altogether?
                     13+15=28
