Kiwi Can

LI: Giving things a go

For kiwi can we learnt about giving things, like a challenge a go. Then we jump into our energiser which was called the magic word . So in this energiser our kiwi can leaders have to create a sentence ,with one important word which is the magic word. There is a cone between you and your partner, you have to try and get the cone first before your partner. All else you have to do a punishment which is a push-up or a star jump.

Then we talked about giving thing a go, like having the confidence to do a challenge. Then we did our activity. Our activity was where we had to act word which our Kiwi can leaders say. We had to buddy-up with someone to see was the better actor.Lastly we did some like GKQ. Kiwi can session was amazing and I hope it's more fun next session.

Art

LI: To make piece of art using geometric shapes

For this task we had to create peace of art using different geometric. We had to try to create house on a plane landscape. Firstly we had a lesson of some geometric shapes where we could use. Then we stared creating the DLO. After that I use numerous shapes to see if the house looked it's right. Then I added some more details and colour to my piece.

Vehicle puzzle/zodiac 100's board

LI: To create a 100's board using a object

For maths we were given pieces of paper which looked like Tetris pieces and a grid. It was a puzzle which we had to solve and what it means. The paper had different zodiac signs. When trying to solve the puzzle, we were given multiple clues. Later on we solved the puzzle, now we had to find out what it means. We came up with numerous ideas which were wrong. Then we found out it was a 100's board.

After that we had to create a 100's board on a google drawing, using an object like emoji's.
Next we had to make different pieces on a grid which we created. The we had to colour the pieces and put in the emoji of our object which was vehicles. In the little we placed different which were the numbers in each square of the grid. Then we had to separate each piece to see of you can solve it.

Self portrait

LI:To make digital self portrait

What is a digital self portrait? A digital self portrait is a digital piece of art of yourself.  We had 2 options to create our digital self portrait. The first way of creating our self portrait was using a tool on a google draw, called the polyline. The second way of creating our self portrait was where we use different geometric shapes to create ourselves. I did the first way. I had to make sure everything was spot on and looked exactly like me.

Crazy cricket Chaos

LI: To Develop Fundamental movements in cricket

We did our first session of cricket with Brian from HPCC.

I did a session on a ball at a set of stumps. We also did an activity where we had to hit the 2 balls off cones as far as we could. Lastly we did a catching drill with 2 balls in a big circle. It was quite difficult because there is sometimes where he looks at you and passed to someone else, which confused me

I want to work on hitting the ball more to a much longer distance.

Maritime Museum

LI: To study the history of NZ maritime explores

On Wednesday we went to the Maritime Museum, to learn about exploration and different NZ explorers.Firstly we had the opportunity to explore the the Museum and learn about different explores, like James cook and Abel Tasman. Then we learnt how most of the explores made it to NZ or a different country in the Polynesian triangle. We also learnt about Modern day explores like Sir Peter Blake who won many awards. Going to the Maritime Museum was a pleasure because I learnt a lot of information about exploration.

The black magic which Sir Peter Blake used for different competitions like go around the world twice.
