LI: To remember your basic facts

For basic facts I took the speed demon challenge up to 20. My time was 3:46. I was impressed on fast I was but I want a better time.

SSR Selfie

LI: To summarise a text

My book for SSR  selfie is called The King's Treasure. The book is about a greedy king that loves treasure. The king also steals money from others.One day the king found one of  his guards trying to steal some gold. He needed a solution to fix the problem.

Maori

LI: To translate a sentence to Maori

 For Maori we had to finish off a task called Wiki Waru. For this task we had to make up a sentence then translate the sentence to Maori. We first have to make up an object to write about. Then we have show the picture to show what we are translating in maori.

Kiwi Can

LI:  To recap our learning

This session for Kiwi Can was our last session. We first recapped what we have learnt through out the whole term. Next we went straight into our energiser called hot potato.In the game hot potato you have to pass the ball (the hot potato) and who ever has the ball last loses. Then we played a game called dancing cones. Dancing cones is where you dance to a song. You have to make sure you pick up a cone and put it on your head,if you don't your out. Lastly we played a game billy bop.

Fractions

LI: To define fractions

For maths we did fraction. What is a fraction? ( it is a whole object divided into equal pieces) What is a halves,thirds,quarters and fifths? Halves is when a whole object is divided into 2 equal pieces. Thirds is where you divided a whole object into 3 equal pieces. Quarters is when you divide an whole object , again into 4 equal pieces. Lastly fifths, is when you divide an whole object into 5 equal pieces. Using a piece of paper we find a way to make the paper be look like the fraction your doing.

Activity 2 : Knowing our roots

LI: To practise the summer learning journey activity's

We are still finishing off the teaser week activity's from the summer learning journey. This activity we is called " Knowing our roots". What is a pepeha? ( a pepeha is a way to introduce yourself).In this activity we had to write a pepeha about you and where you are from. The pepeha could be written in any language like, Tongan, Samoan, Japanese and more.

This week is the Maniakalani Summer learning journey teaser week.I worked with Miiana and Jaylee to make a DLO about Lorde and some facts about her and make a profile page. We worked as a group to do this first activity for the SLJ teaser week.
